We delivered an efficient and effective process by adding additional business logic and automations using ServiceNow’s Customer Service Management.

Overview

Our client is responsible for acquiring, managing, and terminating leases for all property required by the USAR for operations, logistics, and administration. They manage global properties and environment policies when using the leased properties.

The Challenge

Our client manages thousands of leases and their current system is unable to proactive alert the Real Estate Team when leases will expire. Additionally, the Release Estate Team finds it difficult to manage their complex activities when adding and renewing leases.

The Solution

NR will develop a solution for USAR Real Estate on the ServiceNow Platform as a scoped application. The solution works as follows:
  • Upload all USAR control leasing properties to the ServiceNow Platform
  • Establish a USAR available Service Catalog Item to request property for the USAR to lease (I.e., office space or an air field)
  • Establish a series of requests that USAR Real Estate personnel can submit to add, modify, and terminate leases
  • Associate all leasing contracts (active and historical) to properties (locations) within ServiceNow
  • Establish alerts to highlight leases that will expire and property that will become vacant
  • Associate environment ordinances to properties (locations) within ServiceNow
